It just sounds goofy, and in the context of omegaverse where same sex couples are normal it just doesn't feel right. Not to mention that most of your hormone and adrenal glands are located in your neck or anywhere above the shoulders. Unless their prostate is directly linked to their alpha genes it doesn't make sense. It's why biting the back of the nape is the chosen method for bonding.
It also has the potential to sound medically goofy when trying to explain the alpha transformation surgery.
But, tbh, a lot of the stuff in this series doesn't really play by omegaverse rules, and altho the premise is interesting, the lackluster story telling is making it a slog to get through. Nothing feels genuine when the characters speak and neither do their relationships.
