His romance with the supposed FL isn't the focus until the side stories. At most you'll get snippets of her nursing a crush on him and they go out on like, one date but that chapter is really skippable (is that a word?) and the romance can't even be considered a B-plot. It's more like the sprinkles on a scoop of ice cream yknow?
