It’s been awhile since I last read it, but the start of their relationship didn’t seem the most consensual. Sure he agreed and everything, but he was only doing so bcs he didn’t want his partner(the twink) to get hurt anymore. Plus, he was super reluctant too. Idk, whatever it was, in any normal circumstance, he wouldn’t have consented. Maybe coercion is too harsh of a word, but either way he was manipulated and gaslit into the agreement.
