personally i don’t think both of them is to be blamed For Annette yes she is aristocrat and ignorant about social issues and living her life at the best while people are dying I can see and understand why people hate her but for Heiner to hate her?? Hmm we need to talk abt this more
First of all there was no ‘love’ to begin with. Heiner never truly loves her but the reason why he thinks that way is because his life is so miserabl. His life is so miserable and has nth but still wants to live on Annette became a reason for that since she was there at that time but when he DID SURVIVE and got a chance to keep on living he again feel the void in him cause again even if he did survive he has nth left
THEN AGAIN at that time Annette was there and unfortunately she showed her ignorance abt people (which is only because she was taught abt it and she had never had a chance to know) it became another reason for Heiner to keep on living to ‘revenge’ on her
So there is no ‘love’ to begin with and even if it is love it was never started with a good start so it was doomed from the beginning. And also Heiner behavior towards Annette is not justifiable. It is true that you have gone Thea lot of traumatic events and you are mentally I’ll as well you also feeling a sense of crisis within you and ur feelings are valid BUT NOT UR ACTIONS. Annette is behaving that way and she said those words in the garden it’s only because ‘she was taught that way’ but we can’t entirely blame Heiner for his actions even though it is not justifiable because THERE WAS NO ONE THERE FOR HIM NO ONE TO LOVE HIM AND NO ONE TO GUIDE HIM
so in conclusion the only left to blame is the SYSTEM, Monarchy and Annette’s family
