I want to express my feelings like the author, I’m gay and had depression long as I remember, mostly cuz I lived in a country that was at war and watched tv a lot with shit news about child marriages, schools being Bombed and trafficking was that was not that uncommon, also from a very religious house, I’m not “Muslim” anymore, I never told my parents and still live with them (I’m 18 and in collage) and have tried to end my life multiple times, I don’t think I can get better while I’m at a loop of depression, I feel selfish to want to make a comic like this, i feel like I’m disrespecting Muslim people, my family and everything, but I feel so stuck in my life right now, I know I’m young, I feel disgusted and everything but I want to make something to make sense and make the hole in my heart a bit more full, I feel so lonely without any friends, I want to make comics and post it on something like TikTok or something
i really think you should make the comic, it'll be a good outlet for your emotions. do you have free mental health services at your college? I really encourage you to seek them out and get the help you need. Maybe join lgbt related clubs but due to your family situation it may be risky. I don't think you're disrespecting anybody, its just you staying true to yourself
