This is one of those stories you must experience for yourself. I enjoyed it, and I found it to be well-paced (it takes place over nearly a decade) and to contain well-crafted characters. I understand there are some parts where people would find the plot pretty weak, and honestly, another chapter or two could've cleaned everything up. Regardless, it was still a five-star read for me.
