Why do villians have to romanticised in so many stories, everyone has difficulities but having a painful past is no excuse for being an abusive, manipulative person.I obviously feel sorry for Sooha after reading this chapter, and understand how abandoned by her parents led to her wanting to be at the center of attention and be loved by everyone, but the notion that bc of a tragic past we should accept bullies is a lil problematic.I hope these chs about her won’t overshadow how much damage shed done to Mirae.:)

I think the moral of this story is just that. Everyone has their own story, also like how they explained the mother and father of the male lead. The also explained the female lead. Now they explain the second female lead. It makes the story and the characters have depth.
But at first I was hoping the stalker would learn her a lesson but now I hope it doesn't happen. But I think Sooah will be saved by Mirae or something and they'll come to a mutual understanding in the end.
It would have been a really flat story if Sooah was just mean. Which is also not the point of this story.

yeah,I honestly see where you are coming from, and I can accept that this is a pattern in this webtoon, and the whole everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about message. She does have more depth this way,as you said, but irl people are just assholes and there is no explanation. Then again, since it’s a webtoon,it makes the story rounder, it’d be weird if it ended with Mirae and Kyungseok getting together, then bye.So in conclusion I do think it’s needed for the plot, but for my values it’s problematic.I just dislike the tendency that authors have to break down villains and maybe even unintentionally make them ‘likable’.However,I too would like it if Sooha to solved her issues and developed a more healthier mindset, because she obviously suffers from trauma.:)
ngl the dialogues are kind of cringy for me lol but wanna see where this goes, I’m sure the guy has more going for him then it shows
Yeah for some reasons me too especially this Prince talk and all... so cringey... its alright when u are 10 u know.. but sigh.. they are highschoolers god damnit xD
