HONESTLY? THIS IS A GOOD ENDING. None of them we're great, so breaking it off and realizing that they all need to work on themselves is hella great! Quite refreshing for a BL, actually. Maybe in the future, they can try again to win him over, but perhaps when they're in a better place.
So the top sexually harrasses MC, purposely makes decisions that are detrimental to MC's (and the group's) reputation (which are very important in the idol industry), gaslights and manipulates MC into thinking that all of it is MC's fault, and to put the cherry on top, he does it because he's confused about how he feels? "He's stern with me, and apologizes. Do I like him or not? Hmm..." LIKE WHAT????
I fully believe that the top knows how fanbases work, and his fans would harrass MC by causing drama.
HE DID ALL OF THIS, BUT NEVER SERIOUSLY TALKED ABOUT WHY MC HAS AN AVERSION TOWARDS HIM. Sure, he asked later on but that took him ALMOST A YEAR AFTER DEBUT, AND HE VERY MUCH KNOWS THAT MC DIDN'T ANSWER HIM TRUTHFULLY. He just uses the woe is me card.
Honestly, plotarmor aside (coz plotarmor prevents people from fully crashing out and call it quits), MC should start considering quitting being part of that group. What MC's ex did to him is obv gonna be a hindrance to his entire career and relationship with the top (if we're gonna be realistic here). And the top is just gonna continue to fuck with him regardless if MC tries to understand him, get over his mental, and attempts to get along with the top.
Overall, it has a smut tag, so I should've just removed all logic before reading this. But this honestly had the potential to be a decent angst story. Like, MC finally crashes out, quits, and gets pursued by the top again, but MC's continuous comparison between him and the top + disparity between their careers + the top basically achieved MC's dream, and the MC is working a typical job + really shit memories from the top, prevents MC from liking the top. (ā„ļ¹ā„)
It's very lighthearted and cutesy. Personally tho, I find it dissatisfying that the guy that SA'd him got away, and the captain was just like, "if ur lonely, can't it be me instead?"
