You know for the longest time I've hoped for Diana to come to her senses like Helios did. I truly believe her heart was originally in the right place, but she went about everything wrong, and lost herself in her own power. Yes Hestia is/was out for revenge, but she still gave her chance after chance to change and apologize. Instead Diana chose to double (no triple) down and ignore all responsibility for everything. Once Helios truly and sincerely apologized Hess went to work helping him be a better ruler alongside Kael, and began working together for the betterment of the people. If Diana had just put her pride aside, apologized, and stopped to listen, none of this would have led to her position being as bad as it is now. Hess could have helped her truly realize her ideals in a healthy way. With Diana's position as saintess and crown princess they could have worked together to bring about change with the temple without directly harming Diana as much. Yes her saintess position would weaken a lot, but she is the crown princess now, not just a saintess. She doesn't understand that the moment she married Helios she stopped being only a saintess, and her priorities needed to be adjusted accordingly. She never needed to abandon her ideals, but she needed to listen to advice on how to approach implementing those ideals in a healthy, non antagonistic way. I don't know, its just the more I see Diana's pov, the more I feel almost sad about the what could have been if only she pulled her head out of the sand. We're long past the point where temple brainwashing is acceptable as the only excuse.
I had to physically stop myself from making the most unholy noises in shock at his rewards. I really really want to see his stats panel now. Also I hope he finds/makes more attack annulment skills.
