She’s a great surgeon but should a doctor really be yelling like that at her patients family/ friends? I thought communication comes with the job.

Communication is fine and all, but if there's a life or death situation gong on, calmly and slowly explaining the situation isn't really an option (in my opinion). Every single situation where Kiara has had to step in has been an emergency, and when there isn't one, no one bothers to listen (other than Cecil) because she's a "woman with no magic."

It’s an understandable response as a human being for sure but highly unprofessional (not saying it’s her fault that the people around her look down on her and it’s frustrating irl too) and when you’re working in a field like healthcare, being patient and respectful despite all of it is part of the job. Speaking sternly and firm is not the same as shouting and you need to be understanding that patients will be irritated and lash out because THEY ARE ILL! They don’t necessarily mean everything they say or do but if you can’t handle it then maybe this isn’t a job for you
The patient is still in the room when you’re arguing with colleagues and it can cause them further distress that can significantly affect their condition, especially like in the first situation mid-operation. Of course there’s a point where it becomes workplace harassment and you shouldn’t tolerate that but the story hasn’t really shown/framed her trying to be as calm and professional for as long as she could’ve been before getting heated and prioritizing the patients health over professionalism. It doesn’t matter how good your skills are if you make your patients feel unsafe in your care when they’re at their most vulnerable.

In the real world you can’t deliver aid to a non consenting patient unless they are in a condition where they’re unable to consent (like unconscious) or you could be sued even if you saved their life. You would be surprised by the number of patients who are not grateful of being saved. But this isn’t real so I try not to take it to heart lol. I do agree with your sentiment from an emotional standpoint but know despite being an skilled surgeon, she is far from an outstanding HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.

Sorry I didn’t mean for this to get so long ^^; The story has really just started anyways, she has plenty of time to grow as a character and I think it’s worth sticking around for that! She was able to convey to Gerald what she needs to do and why in a way he understood, evident by his consent so that’s a great start but tldr communication is a lot more important than you think and she is an imperfect FL but that’s not a bad thing :)

I agree with the other commenter on your topic. This isn't the real world and she isn't treated as anyone worth listening to, which was the last point in my reply. No one is going to listen to her even if she "acts professional," so yelling at them kind of throws them into a shocked state to leave her alone and let her do her thing. Since it's set in an era (while still in the fantasy genre) of the Western world where women are looked down on and treated as less than men, it's obvious that a woman with no magic would be treated like dirt in the (magic) healing profession. To them, her modern (non-magical) practices are barbaric and heretical.

If someone's life is at stake and you have the knowledge to save them but no one will let you because they can't imagine a world outside their narrow views on the medical profession, are you really going to spend hours explaining every little thing in a calm manner? No, of course not. That person might only have a few hours to live. Just yell at the protestors to shut up, do your thing, and then explain later. It's a lot easier to do something and ask forgiveness afterwards, especially in a situation that could mean someone will live or die based on the choices that have been presented to you.

I'm sure some nurses, doctors, and even surgeons have to yell sometimes. They are human and they are not perfect people. Professionals don't always remain professional in high tension situations, which makes the imperfect Kiara seem that much more reasonable and realistic to me. I've seen stuff where EMS people are starting to panic when their patients' vitals suddenly drop or the patient has an unexpected injury, which might be considered unprofessional and yet it's still a human reaction.

It’s a Korean romance historical manwha,
I think FL got Isekaied as a villainess? And tried to divorce her husband who was a powerful noble or smth, then the husband told her to seduce the prince(I think) if she wants a divorce.

Eventually husband fell in love with her and regretted telling her to seduce the prince and he gets jealous.

That’s about all I can remember! If anyone knows please tell me! Thanks! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

The Bl japanese manga was kinda old with the early 2000’s almost 90’s looking art style. It was a somewhat long series with multiple couples. The art was rough but pretty looking and the artist got better with time.
.
I can’t remember much about the first couple other than the fact that they were clearly comedic characters and it was kinda dumb?
I think the comedy couple at the beginning was suppose to be the main couple but the side couples were clearly more popular so the main couple didn’t seem to appear at all later.

Anyways the couple I liked the most was the second or third one (which was far more angst and tragic) the Uke was much younger than the seme, his whole family died in a car crash and he studied hard to get a scholarship at school. I think he was being fostered by a family that didn’t treat him well? And somehow he ended up being taken care of by the seme?

Other Things I remember:
1)There was a scene where a women threw a flowerpot out a window and tried to hit uke with it.

2)As well as near the end (? Sorry my memories really fuzzy) the Uke’s granddad found him and his grand dad is actually rich or something?

3) I think the uke ran out at some point and ended up working for a live in bakery place and he bought a cake for himself and sang happy birthday then the seme came to find him?

4) the seme was older but he was cool.

5)the manga was kinda angsty but also comfy and I remember seeing blood at some point but don’t really remember.
