I'd just accepted omegaverse as a trope/worldbuilding/genre as it emerged w/o liking, disliking or thinking about it. There are few omegaverse that I've loved or that have made me think, and this is def one of those. The way this was handled like a scientific curious study by a teen, which makes developmental sense, top tier imo. It really gets you worried, curious+excited even if you're very familiar w/ it. The telepathy was new+cool but they're not mates so I wonder why. Amazing job, author.
