So glad I'm not the only one! I came back to this when I saw that it was completed so I could finish the extras and mark it as Read, and I was so incredibly pissed off at the top for keeping his partner in the dark. And at the family!! Like, if I were him, I'd feel so hurt and betrayed. Imagine your partner coming to visit your parents every week for three months and nobody telling you that you're the only one who doesn't know why. And then he forces your best friend to ALSO pretend like he doesn't know anything?? This would honestly be grounds for breaking up and cutting off my whole family, the fuck. I still don't know if the best friend does it (I suspect based on your comment that he does), because I had to stop and see what everybody else was saying. I'm honestly considering just dropping the whole thing. It's a pity, because I was really liking the MC.
