maybe im just disillusioned from reading too many shoujo, but holy shit every single chapter has genuinely made me pull my hair out. the misunderstandings and miscommunication is all so contrived, and for some reason FL loses the ability to speak every time something happens. youd think thered be some real development but lowkey 90% of the manga is the same linear progression with zero actual growth. it had so much potential to be good but instead they have to lean in into all the most stereotypical, ridiculous tropes instead of writing anything of substance. i hate second ML and feel no sympathy for him at all; why are you getting in the way of an established relationship. i fw FL and ML as separate characters, but then you put them together and they lose all brain cells — not even in a cute cringefail loser way but in a way that is GENUINELY INFURIATING lord help me
