For me personally, it has to do with realization of the characters. Like I bitch about both of the MLs being literal assholes (like I actively pray on their downfalls while reading), but the characters feel like real people in Roses and Champagne and in Jinx they feel like 2-dimentional cardboard cut outs of characters, and it get on my nerves. I never read jinx (I'm glad I never did), but I'm aware how much of an asshole Jaekyung is. Roses and Champagne, however, is one of my favourites. The plot/storyline is actually interesting, as well as the characters.
