I'm a new fan, currently in ep 33 of s3. i have never been so frustrated at a series in a long time now, but this really takes the cake in all aspects of pissing me off, esp w how the mangaka has done eijun so fucking dirty.
i haven't read the manga yet but, i've felt the blatant favoritism towards furuya since early on the first season, y'all have no idea how many times i've wanted to throw hands at the author every time furuya gets glazed unnecessarily, whenever the guy speaks, i swear the characters act shocked like he's announcing the second coming of christ when he's saying smth completely normal for fucks sake. funny thing though is that, outside baseball, i think he's fine, i don't really hate the guy
let's not forget abt miyuki, at first i liked his cheeky attitude but god, he just progressively gets worse, esp after becoming captain. no one properly criticizes him and everyone treats him like he's a baseball godsend with almost every character and their mothers riding on his and furuya's dick. and after reading a few of the comments here also talking abt their frustrations of miyuki, i'm deadass convinced he's TJ sensei's self insert
eijun is always neglected, humiliated, dragged through the mud, even when he's supposed to have his moments, somehow furuya HAS to ALWAYS outshine him one way or the other??? come fucking on dude, ik this manga highlights on having a relatable and realistic mc, but if i wanted this much realism, i wouldn't be watching anime or reading mangas altogether, i have my whole life to look upon damnit if there's one thing that i've effectively learnt from daiya is that there's always someone who's better than you and you can never truly beat them. which is honestly such a sad message to spread.
i've cried my eyes out both in frustration, anger, extreme joy and pride whenever eijun gets clowned or achieves smth. i love this character to bits, it pains my heart to see how TJ treats him. special thanks to the ao3 authors for giving everything eijun deserves, i literally consider your fics as canon lol
