Honestly, although the people fighting against humans is considered taboo there, I like to think this world and the other world is quite similar.

I hope this store won't be all black and white. I think it'd be unfortunate if the world was really all black and white you know? Like if a human who is a witch is part of the Demon Lord's army, they still are human. To say that aren't is just using labeling them as a deviant and as "an exception." Which unironically, it's what we do as people in our world as well. We label people as "murderer" and "freaks" as "not normal", deviants essentially. But usually all those labels lack nuance at least on the surface level. Why this person kill, why are they different, is it really wrong to be a "freak" the label themselves doesn't really give insight to the nuance which is why all of us mentally recoil at the mention of said labels in reference to a person. The witch is just as human as the rest of them all are. That's why labeling her has deviant makes everyone else feel so secure. It's because it's then they don't have to reflect on what they are doing is wrong and that they are just setting themselves out to kill a human. It's also so they don't have to think more then they have to. To even think that humans are capable of sin and that they are related to such someone who would murder even if it's simply by being the same species. That maybe they themselves are capable of such sin.

But honestly, that's probably me applying too much of the labeling theory I just learned .

Ultimately, I think the direction of the manga is that although there are differences in each world, there is still the ultimate similarity that they are all "murderers" in essence. It just that Ginko and the other samurai take on murdering with strive and acknowledgement while the other tries to justify killing by labeling others as deviants.

Or at least, that's how I hope the story will go. Either way I'd still be reading it. Ginko is my daughter and I'll read it purely for her gremlin energy :3
