The hater in me is hating on this story and everyone’s response to it. I don’t even know what this story has that bother me so differently then other revenge BL with a ML that’s ends up groveling. I feel like there’s such bigger fish to catch, the criminal brother??? Like that trauma compared to falling in love with a shitty guy you met a couple of months ago but somehow he becomes apart of your nightmare has got to be a projection. It literally feels like the MC’s lowkey just a b* who only stands up towards someone that’ll that them not his actual brother. Like how does he know this shitty rich and powerful isn’t gonna pull similar crap as his brother? You can stand up to him but not your brother? Ok obviously trauma but the projection from it pmo. And ideky why I’m annoyed that people are focused on wanting a groveling ML when that’s literally the point of these types of BL. Likes what’s up my bum??? But I really truly want that joke of a brother to die at the stake

It’s such an interesting phenomenon of certain groups of people disappointed in feminine traits and it lowkey feels misogynistic since the devaluing of femininity is in its core misogyny. Consumers are also seeking out more masculine (maybe with a dash of flare/flamboyance) and dare I say more straight passing gay couples

Why is all that area bright RED

Am I the only one who actually enjoy this like the pacing is kinda stressful but I assume it’s suppose to make you feel suspense and anticipation (like any author would do to keep their readings coming back lol). And the MC and ML not having like an insane level of knowledge of exactly everything actually makes it feel kinda real. One person being smart isn’t gonna stop you from being manipulated especially if you suffer from abuse and ptsd. While a man who’s basically doing the most to lead a company realistically isn’t gonna have time to be focusing on other things. Like they both come off as clueless for sure at times but that’s realistic no? And ML is kinda an ass, but he truthfully did not lie or manipulate. He’s just hella guarded and suspicious (which makes sense for the type of position he’s in). And him not getting clear info about what’s going on in another company/family that is powerful also makes it more believable. He’s not the nicest but farrr from being a red flag. Idk maybe some people feel more strongly towards the characters issues but I like them both and it feels like the author had already developed the characters personalities so their actions and responses makes sense to me. Like it’s not a surprise.

Morally gray characters. And it’s their favs doing genocide, murder, mass torture (like rape), etc with little to no proper reason. And example of morally gray would be waging or weighing if one should save thousands over like 1 powerful person. NOT ignoring the slaughter committed by you and your people because you could care less And I fear a lot of you’ll favs here are not morally gray but are morally black with a likeable personality and having common sense/decency once in a while. A best most if not all of them are on the dark gray side of this spectrum.

Yes the bottom basically played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. HOWEVER they both assaulted each other technically. Idky people are actually arguing over that one fact? Someone unconscious’s and drugged CANNOT consent and obviously someone not wanting to do it is not consent. Neither of them have consented to this ordeal whatsoever. There shouldn’t be an argument about who assaulted who because neither are in control of the current situation.

Based on the comments I’m sure the MC has good development or whatever. But I can’t for the life of me understand why he would have feelings for a shitty person and then be resentful towards a bullied victim for taking away the ‘attention’. Like yeah having attachment isssues yadeeyaa but unlikable MC isn’t gonna make me want to continue. I can’t wrap my head around why he even liked that guy. Definitely not my cup of tea, maybe someone else’s tea.

I’d give it a higher rating if it weren’t for the dragged out problem of the second couple. Their issue is so simple (scared that being more then friends would end their relationships forever if it goes badly) but somehow the author managed to make it feel so complicated. Which isn’t actually an issue in itself tbh. However like I said it got dragged out. What made me annoyed was that the second ML was expected to be exclusive and single? While the MC was having like such a weirdly intimate relationship with his brother (it was for sure the author trying to create misleading narrative). ML was also expected to carry the burden of their relationship and was expected to wait until who knows how long. But the moment he acts frustrated or upset about it, he ends up being the one to apologize??? And the second MC had no remorse for doing this to someone they supposedly loved??? Huh? Granted I dropped this after second 2 (wanted to see how the author tied it together) but the ending was lackluster and annoyed me

No offense (this is literally my primary site because it’s easy to navigate) but this comment section taking a 180 and basically calling Guwon a red flag or feeling annoyed by the main characters and such is interesting. Because compared to other comment sections where they’re theorizing Guwon relations to zombies (literally their entire world building) and MC also having his shrew loose (though I do see some drizzle about that here) and talking about other characters is really telling about the type of audience that’s on this site. Everything here has become so saturated recently that romance stories tend to only really do well here when 80% of the plot focuses on just the relationships between the two main people and there’s not much going on out there.

The only stories that do well with heavy and complex plot are adaption from novels that already had an audience that encourages the telling of the story tbh.

Ch: 49. I like the story and the art but the expressions and the execution of the storytelling<->visual feels like it’s falling flat. I wish there was more visual depth if that makes sense

This (ch 52) feels so outta left field??? Like season 1 ML would never had done this even at his angriest? I’m acc so confused as to what the the writer is wanting to do and how they’re gonna try to justify this? Cuz wtf

The ML’s obliviousness to society aside. I’d give ML a little break cuz it started of with a lie? Things trickle down if you start off dishonest. It’s not just about his past sex life but about how he’s lied about random things in the beginning, specifically not clarifying things. And it made himself conceal things even more to keep up with it. And when you’ve lied while sure you’re trying to tell the truth slowly, and it takes time because it’s a shitty time for you. But the other person doesn’t know that, they just think you’re deliberately hiding things not out of good intent. PLUS it goes to waste when the other person is learning about you from other people. At this point it’s obvious that ML cares more about the relationship at hand, and it made him short sided. While the MC is more focused on society to clearly see that his bf is not society.
