To be honest I think it would be better if the snip pushes through and their bond is cut off. Because then it'll be easier for them to heal and actually fall for each other. Being bonded means pheromones play a huge part on their feelings and attraction towards each other, so it's easy to blame the uke's submission to the alpha on pheromones. If they're not bonded then the uke would be just a bit more in control of himself and that would really do wonders for the story.
