I have always hated the lieutenant and he somehow still manages to make me hate him more. He better not fuck this up and ruin the chance for some type of reunion for the main leads. But also side note: what happened to their daughter????
His trauma is his and how he reacts to it is also his responsibility. She was not the person to tear them apart so I hate that she now thinks that it’s her fault. It’s his for not going through the proper channels to cope with his own trauma which hurt his friendships and relationships with other people. He needs therapy and needs to apologize to her for all that he has done.
