there was just NO way that they were ever going to get together after that fuck ass blunder (aka using one’s higher status to beat up a man to a point of near death, regardless of whether they were a fraudster or innocent). black haired guy WOULD NEVER forgive blondie if this was irl bro. just any form of trust and affection was completely shattered from the very moment they met and blondie acted so antagonistic. which is why im glad the extra stories are a separate storyline, and also relieved that there’s a parallel universe where we do see them get their happy ending to give myself a peace of mind
