Suuper angst. Honestly I wouldn't be mad if it ended here. There are still some loose ends, like the servants who fled the mansion (but we can assume theyre fine, working somewhere else). I also really hate those comics that stretch things to like 200 episodes and more than half of the episodes being filler. The first 15 episodes really well describe the themes the author wants to express, along with the two main character's internal conflicts + desires. With that, I wouldn't be upset about this being the final episode. however! I would also be super interested for more episodes. I'd like to see what the author does to explore the now eternal living couple. Maybe for like another 15 episodes. Otherwise I don't want that stretched shit.

Damn. I was highly concerned of Albert's freaky behavior/manipulative/controlling thoughts towards ashia. Chapter 12 he got that post nut clarity though. Honestly it's kindof a difficult read because of how realistically flawed the two main characters are. Albert's situation of being like a replacement comfort servant to the same person + ashia's constanf reminder of a person they truly loved but not getting that exact person/struggling to move on. It's a recipe for intense agony.

I appreciate that the main character we're following (albert) isn't like a total sociopath though. He easily could've been filled with only lust + obsession to a disgusting degree like a lot of cheap plots do but that character type was given to his father, and Albert is given space to be flawed, but realize how shitty his behavior is. It also gives room to reflect on the fact that his father's obsessive behavior and actions were not OK.

I also appreciate that they're not romanticizing the fact that this vampire has cursed a family into serving him and having this weird trance / required obedience thing going on. That's really messed up! And we see that reflected when Albert talks to Margaret and goes to the storage room. Albert gets scared and questions if his feelings are truly his or if its only due to this curse(? Is it a curse or is it some kind of manifestation of an unfulfilled wish of archen?).

I like that the vampire also acknowledges thst Alberto (alberts father) was fucking psycho and really fucking shitty to threaten suicide in order to get his way. Even though ashia is suffering, he still has boundaries and will establish them.

This is a very interesting premise on discussing the topic of immortality, eternal love, and human will vs fate.

It's just nice to read a pornhwa that doesn't romantacize shitty behavior, or at least represents shitty behavior & actions as shitty! Being posessive isn't cute y'all. Even if Aisha is immortal and is kindof a big factor into why albert's family is cursed in a way, Ashia still deserves to get a chance to live a happy life without owing anything to someone else. ashia, a vampire, posessing the ability to do something you can't do does not give you the right to decide what ashia's life should be like.

This is in the same breath (breadth?) as how men think they can decide what women are able to do with their body just because they posess the ability to bear a child while men cannot. No. That's not the right of men to decide. Women can decide what they want to do with their power. Nobody else can. It's not their right.

If ashia wishes to use their power to turn someone, that's their right/decision to do so. But it's not OK when someone else demands/requires what Aisha can do with their powers. It's not theirs to begin with to decide!

Note to self: read up to chapter 12. Vampire media is a good way to discuss sexuality, immortality, and eternal love.

Also sorry I literally have no idea what the vampires name is. Ashia? Aisha? Archen? Something like that.

I really appreciate that you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this so far! I don't currently have a blog but you've made me start considering it. I think this comic warranted me making this whole comment thread simply because I was impressed with how responsibly the writing was done in it's portrayal of behaviors. I read a lot of manhwa/pornhwa on this site and the plots get really shallow and irresponsible with their portrayal of rape, manipulation, and obsession as "cute", "romantic" or "fine". It gets really tiring and makes it hard to really enjoy anything anymore. I might make a blog but there are few manhwas that write compelling stories, bring interesting discussion, and portray things responsibly. Most of my posts on other comics would probably be a lot of critiques and whining. If you're interested in that kindof thing I might make a tumblr blog or something!

It feels like the mass produced regression/isekai manhwas where quality in story doesn't seem to matter, have no care about character design at all. At least in the aspect of bringing the audience something interesting to look at as a piece of art. It feels like the only thing the artists (maybe the artists don't have a lot of control, so I guess the publisher team?) care about are handsome and beautiful characters that sparkle in the story. And then their bias of what is counted as beautiful/handsome comes in which becomes very problematic when it comes to traditional Korean values (very xenophobic!). Also the art in these manhwas seem to have some kind of aversion to old/aging people. Like I don't think drawing old people is that hard IMO ?? They are not just young people with long lines down their smile lines /forhead wrinkles. They make it seem like they put in absolutely no effort in the character design and no care into it whatsoever. Aging faces can be so beautiful like... Also I don't think I've seen any characters with a truly drak complexion in these stories. There are tan characters / lighter dark skin tones. And even then most of the time these characters with darker complexions typically get placed in the villain/psychopath/demon/devil archetypes. Colourism :^S. Most main characters are pale as printer paper skin tones which like, fine most of these stories are in these eurocentric fairytale settings but like THIS IS FICTION, WE DONT NEED IT TO BE LIKE THAT? IF WE HAVE DRAGONS, MAGIC AND SHIT LIKE THAT CANT WE HAVE SOME DIVERSITY AND SOME TRULY INTERESTING CHARACTER DESIGN? :^l where is the creativity.

I love trashy isekai/transmigration stories especially if it's a villainous story and it has a bittersweet ending. I eat that shit up this is my yum, don't yuck it. I'm trying to filter the especially stinky comics but the oversaturation makes it hard to find the quality gems from the landfill of trash...
