i skimmed the raws, it's not completed, it's at chapter 45 i'm pretty sure. i'll go over the next 20 chapters (might leave some stuff out i forgot, i'll try to keep it accurate lol) and then i'll give my review. as of chapter 27 we get left off in the middle of the male lead's backstory. the 1st male lead was an omega to his parents' disdain and was pretty much neglected and had his life micromanaged by them. one day, his father was talking to a close friend, the 2nd male lead's father, and they were discussing surgically altering an omega to become an alpha. this surgery was still experimental, and the 1st male lead overheard, recorded it, followed the 2nd male lead's father, and convinced him to give him the surgery. 1st male lead has the surgery done, and then there's a time skip, a few years later the 2nd male lead comes to his doctor's office or study and sees the 1st male lead again. after the backstory, the main character and 2nd male lead get married. it's a marriage of convenience, but the 2nd male lead has feelings for the main character. the main character still isn't over the 1st male lead and gets very depressed. he promises not to hurt the 2nd male lead because he's aware of his feelings. i think there was a time skip, a year maybe, to them being at a wedding boutique. the 2nd male lead leaves to try on a suit, and it turns out the 1st male lead is in that same store. the main character sneaks away to meet him. he fucks the 1st male lead in the dressing room. the 2nd male lead comes out and smells the 1st male lead on the main character. anyway, skip to the male lead's engagement party, they fuck again, but the 2nd male lead saw this time, they don't know he saw. he leaves the party, goes to the parking lot, and the main character finds him there. the 2nd male lead gets jealous, kisses him, and the main character pulls away quickly. i'm pretty sure they had a fight. another skip to the 1st male lead's wedding (i don't think this one was actually a skip lmao i forgot what happened). the bride never shows up, and the 1st male lead exposes his parents' abuse and also that he had surgery to change his second gender. he disappears, and before the main character can go find him, the 2nd male lead puts his scarf on him. stuff happens and they leave the country, somewhere in europe i'm pretty sure. the last chapter in the raws i read left off with them finding out that the parents came back to south korea or something, i forgot. i'd give this a 5/10 if it ended with them leaving the country, but it feels like the plot is just being dragged on and on and onnn. i did not like the infidelity in the mc and 2nd ml's relationship at alllllllll and i hated that the mc didn't have a backbone. i love pathetic characters, god knows i eat them up every time, but this main character was just too much for me.
I'm reading the novel and I honestly feel so bad for my babygirl Sha Nain. Sha Amon TAMPERS with his memory like yall said. Amon knows he is so sensitive and soft-hearted, because of that he gets easily distressed/depressed so he has to go through 'rituals' that make him dazed for a week to go back to his normal self. My heart aches whenever he feels like he doesnt remember things, even when Gwen, that doesnt know abt it, asked him about a past conversation+ after the ritual–Nain doesnt remember..!.!!. My heart,, its breakingg
The reason this debate keeps happening is because BL, like any genre, has a complicated relationship with dark themes. Some readers see grape in stories and immediately think it’s romanticizing abuse, especially when it’s used as a cheap way to force ‘romance’ between characters. Others argue it’s just fiction, and exploring messed-up scenarios doesn’t equal endorsing them. Both sides have valid points, but instead of discussing it constructively, people end up attacking each other.
What’s weird is the hostility toward people who don’t like the trope. Disliking grape plots doesn’t make someone ‘too sensitive’ or ‘a moralizing hypocrite’ it just means they want better storytelling or don’t enjoy that kind of content. At the same time, readers who ddo engage with dark fiction shouldn’t be accused of ‘supporting rape.’ Fiction is complex, and everyone consumes it differently.
The real issue isn’t the trope itself, it’s how it’s written. If it’s handled with depth (like exploring trauma or consequences), fine. But if it’s just shock value or lazy drama, of course people will criticize it. Instead of fighting over who’s ‘right,’ maybe we should push for more nuanced discussions—and better writing
I don't understand people who say the author is losing money with piracy, people read pirated content because they don't have the means to afford the content, the author isn't losing any money because people weren't going to buy it anyway...because they don't have money for it.
Why am I seeing 14 yr olds arguing over noncon in an overtly, fetish smut webtoon/manhwa. Like I definitely understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, and that's completely fine, but cussing out anyone who enjoys this or is old enough to understand that this is just fetish content for gyual dem' that are into cnc is a bit crazy to me.
Like respectfully, this is an 18+ smut webtoon with a clear audience in mind. Again it's fine to get annoyed to stumble upon a common trope u don't like, but the material itself containing noncon is never that serious(the 18+ is right there and it's clear as day majority if not all the commenters are are not of age). Also, what's up with slut-shaming in comments but calling others a pick me???
It is physically impossible for men to squirt. I'm not just saying this because I'm old-fashioned, scientifically men are not capable of squirting. They do not have any organs that would cause them to squirt.
Men can cum until it's quite watery, but it's not anything like peeing yourself. It's still cum. Men can also lose control of their bladders when having anal sex because of the pressure on the bladder.
I'm so tired of these authors constantly making their bottoms like women! They even give them the characteristics of a female body, one of the most obvious ways is by making them squirt but it happens in other ways as well. This is a story about romance and love between men and I want to read about men.
dropped this after the artstyle change im sorry its just so ugly

I looked up the novel and now I'm in absolute despair... I should've stayed curious. Dropping this for my peace of mind
I don't know if I would call what happened in chapter two assault but citing the comment anyway. Why every time a character who was a victim of assault and has a monologue blaming himself or trying to minimize the fact you think that the author is minimizing, condoning or normalizing it? like, do you know the levels of sexual aggression that women suffer in japan?
when male authors write fucked up shit everyone tries to find deep meaning to it (ahem eroguro)
so why when women write the same shit you guys instantly jump to the worst ‘she is normalizing, promoting, condoning’ when they are actually the ones who will experience it at least one time in their lives, they have the right to play with it, they are not appropiating a experience that don’t belong to them, its a daily fear for them. the fact that some prefer to see this as someone using us for ‘weird shit’ instead of an instance to share experiences because queer/gay men also have high levels of assault is just so ?! to me
is not that you Have to like problematic stories, but there is a really visible pattern. When men use women to write problematic stories people's reaction is always something like 'ok, this is disgusting, but isn't it interesting how you can interpret this as..’ but when women who are most likely to live these problematic things do the same it is always ‘another gross hag fantasy’
I am not saying that you need to like everything and that you cannot express your dislike for something, I just feel that most of the time the way in which BL readers express their dislike for an author or manga is very pedantic, some comments are super normal ‘wow i didn’t expect this from them’ and then you have the ‘finally this dumb degenarate wrote something good’
And this is not exclusive to when they don't like a bl, because when they like one, it is always something among the lines of ‘finally something good in this garbage genre." If someone gave me money for each ‘breath of fresh air’ that I find in yaoi comments I would be a millionaire lmao
Also, people really forget that authors/creatives are multifaceted, and instead of being happy or amazed by the versatile of an author they feel betrayed /syundei or that the author ‘improved and grew as a person’ /paspaskim. and is like, authors sometimes will want to approach certain topics from different perspectives
About sissy manhua.
The novel was a bit more detailed about the cheating part of ch 38. The purple haired guy gave ML his number; did ML keep the number?
In CH 38, after ML cheated on MC with purple hair. ML and MC were playing a game with a stick, and the purple haired guy and his bf came.
ML got angry and said he doesn’t know them, and excused himself to go to the bathroom. And the purple haired guy also said he’s going to the bathroom.
Manhua doesn’t mention what happens when the purple haired guy goes to the bathroom, following ML. Did ML cheat again? Does it perhaps say what happened in novel regarding the purple hair guy following ML to bathroom?
And meanwhile, MC naively followed the purple haired guy’s bf and got tricked.
Other than 19 Days and Tamen De Gushi, (there are some other great manhuas but I forgot their names) every other Chinese manhua I've read is just pure shit, I'm sorry, it's just the plot sometimes don't make any sense and there's unnecessary misunderstandings, and why do all the MC always end up with the asshole who treated them the worst and literally ruined their lives, I know most Korean bl manhwas are the same but the difference between manhwa and manhuas is that manhuas I swear that I don't get half of the story line, they have like sudden twists or cliches out of nowhere, and there's 2nd hand embarrassments all over I could not bear to continue reading, actually scratch that, lately even BL manhwas are starting to be the same but at least they have better art and story wise albeit little, WHILE I SWEAR IT'S ALMOST LIKE ALL MANHUAS HAVE THE SAME ARTISTS, because I just knew in an instant whether what I read is from a Chinese author or not, based on art styles and so many sexualization of women, btw I'm not just talking about bl, I'm talking about the whole genres they have, like I have seen at least 5 of the same plot with a small different twist made from different authors, they ain't even original anymore
Ah... It's regrettable that they couldn't finish the story :( the setting and history and circumstances makes sense why it's set in China, wth hell is wrong with the haters? (answer: everything)
I think it's amazing storytelling and amazing artwork as well. Def gonna read the novel after this
