Like the shi I've been reading is 'mc wakes up as the duchess or villain then goes to do something nice so they can rewrite their reputation.' because to me (an actual human being) the first thing I'll do is figure out why tf this happened.
Is that not concerning to you that you're suddenly in a different era like a completely different era.. why are some MCs so chill about that like it's a normal thing for them. I just feel that they're way too nonchalant about it.

For real!!!!!!! Like atleast pretend to question it for the first few chapters! It really makes me lose interest when they gladly accept it, like i get you want to survive, but no sane person is gonna accept that regardless of any circumstance, some would even try to kill themselves to go back. Esp those that just “sufdenly died” or slept and woke up in diff world. Like do u not care? Are u not worried about the life u had? Are u not tired of being killed in the future? Srsly takes away the realism of the story.
One of those ive dropped cos of this is I became the tyrant’s servant. Like mamser, you traded a normal life to one being constantly threatened so quickly wow its like trading earth to hell (granted she wouldve lived a glorious life but she doesnt know that) and another is the i will seduce the northern duke. Girl suddenly changed world, and the first thing that happened was beimg attached by monsters. She didnt even blinked an eye or become disoriented at the sudden winter. Just poof, aura farm first thing cos shes “just so cool and collected”. But this is the same character that blushed at simple things the ml did?! LIKE how can u suddenly give up ur popstar life like you didnt spent majority of your life trying to achieve??!!!
If i were transmigrated to a novel i read in passing, with tyrant breathing down my neck, or a side character thats gonna be killed, i would spent the first month adjusting crying and adjusting, and looking for a way to get back (like i know id get to meet my fave character but realistically they aint important) if i cant find it quick, imma bolt yall. If i was rich, imma move to another side of the world, no amount of family drama will bring me back. If im poor, imma move to the other side of the world. And continue investigating to get back. (Trust me historical settings aint as glamorous as it seems) if i get depressed, if probably kill my self (like in kill the villainess) and hopes to get back. BUT if its my fave story, and as a side character id sure as well watched every scenes with a pop corn. And still trying to look for ways to get back. Multitask. Lol
