I actually really appreciate Hwane as a character. He was extremely flawed and I think I liked him more because of it. He truly believed that getting into a relationship would heal the scars of the past and decided to not acknowledge his pain because he thought it could all be erased and learned the hard way it couldn't. I also love how he felt lonely not because he was truly a lonely person (his boss and Ina are absolutely lovely people) but because he never fully lets people in, expecting to be "tricked" again. Just such a relatable character and his growth is truly beautiful. This was a gem of a story
I tried reading this but the age gap just made me extremely uncomfortable even if the attraction was mutual

I know right?!! Rumpspringa was so much more complex and wholesome (even though it had a lot of sex I would say the love story was wholesome). I should probably start reading tags before I get into a story ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Ok hear me out. I feel like there's absolutely no way shell would'e actually agreed to killing Eric so I'm gonna choose to believe that the bullet was a fake/ Eric was wearing some sort of bulletproof vest and after everything went down Eric moved south and Shell comes to visit him. My heart can't handle Eric actually being dead.
