Like these mcs will always be like i need to go see what shes planning and its always them getting poisoned????? Like what did you expect these supposed villains to do? Pull out a confession, be like ehm actually i treated you like shit only to get your attention?? Tf there are plenty of times I've seen this trope done sorta okay like times mcs have gotten poisoned on purpose to finally have evidence to get rid of the villains, or if there's like a hierachy involved so you cant refuse..however EVEN in this scenario where this might be the expose needed to be like omg amaryllis is the evil sister type shit its such a lazy ass cop out it jnfacts suggests the idea that the mc is not smart wl and a damsel in distress WHICH IS like crazy to me considering the arcs before were the author tryna be like shes all bossgirl and strong and need no one else and then they pull this shit..even worse amaryllis also getting poisoned as well so not only is the mc not smart the villain is also suffering from dumb bitch disease, emperor you need to get your kids checked its probably inherited..
ohmygod if youre gonna throw in a cliche can yall for the love of god not?? Throw away all the hard work that you've also put into the main character,throwing away character developement slowly to advance the plot is on god the worst kind of writing im not even mad just disappointed ashtarte is a character im rooting for so much cause she flipped off her og family but then this shit is pulled.. the least you couldve done was made her trying to take cautionary action fail multiple times so she'd force herself to drink it YOU KNOW WHATS WORSE THEY DIDNT DRINK FROM SAME CUP AMARYLLIS DRANK FROM HER CUP AND SAID ITS NOT POISONED AND THEN FUCKING ASHTARTE DRINKS FROM A DIFFERENT CUP SO LIKE?? THE TEA DIDNT NEED TO BE POISONED THE CUP COULDVE BEEN POISONED HOW DID ASHTARTE NOT KNOW THERE WASNT AN ANTIDOTE IN AMARYLLIS CUP?
