It’s about like two boys out in the mountains, one of them dies our in the mountains and a monster takes its form and sticks to our mc, then he finds out he ain’t his friend and things turn weird, it was a BL and it had mad crazy good art and creepy atmosphere.

It was about a brother and sister traveling across a plagued or diseased land, at a certain point a homeless speechless man follows them until I think the boy kills him. Then they come across a bus full of people and they slowly die one by one due to the disease. Then they leave the bus and are captured by this one guy with military I think, and then the boy works for him while keeping the sister safe. Then they escape there, some other stuff happens and the whole point is to reach the other side of the world, in a forest they get shot at and the sister dies, the sister was shot by another brother and sister who I think get shot by the brother. Then the boy grows old and dies by the sea.
Any help is appreciated I remember it being fascinating and incredibly good

Cant seem to really find any that stick out to me, and I’m new to the genre and honestly “complete” is just a suggestion but I’d prefer if it was.
For reference, One I enjoyed was steel under silk, (though it’s not perfect in my eyes). I also enjoy when the “uke” isn’t a bumbling idiot, and has their wits about them. love when they are a bit built or just not “child” looking. I’m willing to take a peek at pretty much anything, but super sweet fluff isn’t preferable.

thank you! I especially am intrigued by the first, I like that author. They didn’t have to be necessarily like steel under silk it’s just the only one I’ve read besides that popular one I forgot the name of. I guess I just liked the tone of it.
