And ofcourse the second main lead syndrome, obviously swa is a better option and his backstory with the mc is much more interesting imo, its unfortunate they didn't do ANYTHING with that, and we still dont have confirmation if swa even like the mc or how he felt throughout all this. Tho to give credit where credit is due - i think the spiral makes sense especially since we view this story through the ml's pov later on. Bro was subjected to a year of abuse and neglect, his whole identity was deemed "disgusting" and "perverted" by supposed professional, that alone can do so much to someone's mentality
