I feel like there’s really more into the characters than what we’ve been told. Hae soo don’t even give a shit about orange anymore so why is emo so keen on provoking orange? Also Emo could just manipulate hae soo (what he has been doing all this damn time) and ask her to move somewhere else with him. Go far away from orange and live their bestest life away from all this drama.

I think the emo guy just pretends he wants Haesoo to "decide" and "think" for herself, but in reality, he's subtly manipulating her into choosing what he wants. He’s just influencing her decisions while making it seem like they're her own.

As I read the novel it makes me sad to think that they could’ve had a great marriage… they were both attracted to each other. The husband cared for her in his own stupidly clumsy way but he prioritized his duty over his wife plus he Neglected her and didn’t care about her reputation. And now he’s gonna go full yandere on her because of his own selfishness and obsession. Tbh this is my first time not loving the “actual” male lead. He is alright… not like how I was fond of Heinry (remarried empress).

Even if he didn’t have this mission, he wouldn’t have been a good husband. He never needed to have 7 mistresses yet he did. Only one of them (Olivia) was needed for the operation canary but the others were not. He is someone who lacks empathy so FL would have never been happy with him.
