He'd spent a long time without addressing this part of himself so obviously it's not going to disappear immediately, and blaming the seme for wanting to be together despite this feels unfair, nobody's perfect, you don't have to be perfect to be in a relationship with someone you love, and RELATIONSHIPS DO NOT CURE YOUR PROBLEMS!
