everyone saying that the mc is "annoying" needs to take an empathy pill. it's such a relatable feeling that he expresses. he distances himself and prematurely grieves his relationship so that he isn't hurt like he was before. the duo work through this so nicely and learn from eachother in a way that is so inspiring. absolutely will be rereading!!!
