The seme is a gigantic idiot, who doesn't know how to communciate to the uke he clearly has feelings. Due to the uke's past of bullying, its hard for him to notice the feelings and has problems with self esteem. Throughout the story both characters develop. I do enjoy the less emphasis on the omegaverse, its not sterotypical with omega's being considered less superior. I also appreciate that there is no sexual assault, which is sadly rare in yaoi manga.
