lowkey thought I was in for a ride of angst and frustrating MCs, but the pace of the story is fast and the characterization succinct enough that once the drama is over and we get more backstory that their silly romance shines through and becomes really endearing!!! Honestly its probably just a tone and pacing problem in the beginning or like a failed red herring, to switch it up the way they did towards the end, but it was cute enough for me to finish it all up :)
