First: if all tension is sexual and emotional growth is skipped, the story feels flat. Because some BL thrives on emotional connection, not just chemistry
Second: If the bottom never makes a decision for themselves and just exists for the top’s desire, it’s lazy writing. It reduces the story to nothing but fanservice
