I don't know the story or if there is novel. But I am going to make some assumptions. Maybe they were gathered because they were like a cult or something and they were going to sacrifice little dude in it OR there was some virus and little dude had antibody so got saved and mc killed others so virus doesn't spread. I hope one of these thing or else mc is major red flag
