I'm 31 now, and I've had the same boyfriend for 13 years (long story short, I think marriage is just a dumb scam and you don't need it to be in a "real" committed relationship). Maybe fanfiction isn't for you. If you have a hard time accepting other people's creative works that were provided for free at the cost of nothing to you, then I suggest you do not read fanfiction.
