It's not even about Aisha-forgiving-Marianne that got people all mad (I mean yeah that's part of the reason for quite a lot), it's that if you reread, you'll notice so many things that 'Alisa' said in the beginning before and after she was executed stop making sense.

Mari stole Alisa's identity, brainwashed Alisa's entire family, framed Alisa, and get Alisa executed by the ones she loved most, ALL WHILE WEARING HER FACE. (Yeah it also makes no sense for Alisa to forgive Marianne, people like to frame forgiving as a strong quality, but try living in Alisa's shoes and say it again.)
(Also even if Aisha forgives her past-family, what makes yall think Yvis would spare them when he's the kinda faka that would burn an entire country for his sister, dood so ride-or-die with his fam we lucky he has this thing called empathy, otherwise...)

Shin is not dumb, Shin is desperate. And this is caused by everyone around him constantly keeping him in the dark.
I don't like characters saying they're dumb when they're forced by the people around them to only have two choices: RUN (stay ignorant forever, but safe) or ENTER THE CAR (gain knowledge, but at what cost).

It's not out of character for Ray to forgive Dorothy, because even if Ray remembers, he would make the same choice. Ray was smiling at Dorothy when she stabbed him, he already forgive her when she's in the middle of killing him, why wouldn't he do the same now?
In mandarin there's a phrase called "相依为命", and it fits Ray's view of himself with Dorothy. Ray sees Dorothy as the only family he has in this hell created by Karnon, i.e. the only person that he can give his familiar love and affection to, a meaning to live on, something that makes breathing feels slightly lighter under all that pressure and scorn by Karnon (yall really think Karnon that loca won't insult his own son just coz the son has light spirit power? Nawh it's Karnon, this bastard thinks he's the best and perfect)
It's sad that people often only see Dorothy's suffeeing, and downplayed the mental stress and abuse that Karnon gave to Ray. This Ray faka really grew up a lot mentally as compared to the past life, given how he even have the spine to make the scheming minister stfu when minister was tryna disregard and diss Dorothy. Just because we didn't see it, it doesn't mean dood didn't suffer or come a long way too.
Man these kids deserves better parents... all three of them (Ethan, Dorothy, and Ray).

It's still a rather unique concept of a tragedy story
Love the unique uncommon dynamics and personality traits of these two characters. It's such a refreshing read.
I want to side stories of the two friends though T-T Hopefully we get it one day ahhhhhh
