i understand he’s had a rough past but that doesn’t excuse his actions, especially rape. his tragic past was a stepping stone for his successful future but it certainly wasn’t for his fucking attitude and inconsideration to other’s feelings; including dan’s. “he doesn’t know how to express himself,” sure. but that certainly doesn’t make a change about how he chooses to interact with other characters in the present. nothing excuses rape and nothing should be reasonable to cause rape. i hope he gets a decent redemption…. i guess. lol!
