I think the girl is trying to "set him up" jokingly, so that the guy would answer her that he has a boyfriend so she could ask him how they do a same sex relationship. More like a coversation starter for her to get advice or also talk about her situation to someone she know that could probably understand. Atleast that is how I see it.
