I clicked on this thinking "huh, this looks familiar" and it turns out I have read this in another chinese manhwa site YEARS ago lol. I loved this manhwa and I still do, but not as much as I used to, it is so funny and stupid but interesting at the same time. I love the characters and the denseness of everyone else, cause I'm dense and they're dense and that just makes this so relatable to me lol.
Now, I'm not that good at remembering chinese names so I'm just gonna refer to them in recognizeable adjectives lol.
First of, I love the MC and how honest and innocent his love is towards the people around him, may it be platonic or romantic. He may be a little coward but he definitely puts in the effort to try his best in making sure his feelings are expressed, and also to make sure that the people he cares about know they are cared for. He's got that sweet type of love that is just admirable. The ML contrasts that and harbors a more sensual and possesive type of affection. The blondie does remind me of Tamaki from OHSC in some way, like the over the top-ness of his already grand actions and the way he immediately sulks, he's definitely sly lol. I love their characters as individuals but I do realize now that their progress seems a little sudden— which can be true when it comes to love. Love is sudden and it's weird and sometimes you'll find yourself wondering how you fell in love with a person. They're the basic Main Couple trope back in the laste 2010s and I love that for them (the ML is fuck-down stupid tho).
I was genuinely rooting for the Glasses hacker, but of course, if you read the first chapter you already know who MC will end up with lol. He's a kind character and I admire his genuine platonic affection for MC. I like that despite everything else that happened to him, he deeply cares for the people in his life. He's sweet and acts like an overprotective dad or brother to the MC and I think that's sweet. I don't know, maybe it's because he's kind and my type are kind people, but I really like him. I don't have that much to say about the Sad Shade of Green over there, I don't hate his character but it's not like I love him either, he's just meh to me, in a way. I just think he's kind of dumb for immediately assuming that the "like" that the Hacker sweetheart means is romantic and getting upset over finding out that it was actually platonic. Like, yeah, I would understand that you'd be sad finding out your feelings aren't reciprocated the same way, but to distance yourself like that without even thinking about how that would affect his crush who thinks of him as a dear friend? Dzamn you dumb. But despite all my criticism towards the Sad Beige Green over there, I do like their ending that's kind of like "Why don't we try?" Cause it's sweet and it leaves room for more improvement and romantic development thay we may never see.
The third couple was interesting, like me too gurl— If I confessed my love to my crush and all of the sudden he disappeared the next day without a single word of goodbye, effectively ghosting me for years? I would be mad too. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the teacher being a love interest back then, but I do now lol, (I did a ton of maturing), I do wonder wether they're still in hs or is they're in college. I'm really glad to know that he was never interested in the MC in first place, he was just a natural ragebaiter from the start, ragebaiting his crush and ragebaiting tye Blondie lol. I also really like the Model, I worried for a second that he may be another "love interest" and was super relieved and pleased that he became a natural friend for MC who was willing to help him, even though he had other reasons for doing so lol. Their romance and development was cute and I'm glad they had their happily ever after.
Of course let's not forget our fave characters. I'm glad Pinkie had her own identity outside of being a fujoshi, she's a diva and I love her for that. Women in bls usually get villainized and she's one of the few that don't fall into that trope. I also really love the Secretary and the manager lol, they're besties suffering together, overworked and tired of their CEO and agents bullshit HSHSH.
I love the art style and the main couple definitely falls into the bl trope, it's so funny, but gosh I love this story, it got me falling into nostlagia again.
I read this BL manga that starts off with this tall blonde kid, and he doesn't think he's cute anymore, and he kind of fixated on being cute, cause he's tall and half jap-half foreigner. He's in love with this older kid back when he was younger that was the only person kind to him and calling him cute, and then he meets that older kid. I don't remember what happened in the middle of the story, but they did end up together and it was revealed in the side story that the older kid has always looked at the blonde kid from afar and was planning the perfect reunion with the kid. Cause ofc, he was in love with him. Type shit.
Why does the artstyle look so familiar? I know I've read another manga with the same style, I just can't prove it
Its the same author as My hyung's Omega
Ah no wonder, thank you!
