The sad thing is, his parents were trying to protect him. He was probably around 12-14, so that would've been around 15 years ago, and there was a lot of hate towards anything gay, especially in Asian countries. He feels like they weren't supporting or loving him, but for the time and circumstances they were. Otherwise they would never have said that by the time he's older, maybe things would he different.
