As a gay person myself, when I was first discovered BL, I was very happy. I thought I could relate the characters, and that it was great representation. But, as I grew older, I realized that most(not all) depicted unhealthy relationships, and essentially stereotyped gay people(to some extent). Like the whole "uke" and "seme" thing.
