Here's a sitch, some of them folks read the fluffiest stories ever but proceed to curse and tell people to off themselves lol. You have to be mentally underdeveloped (aka a MINOR) or actually with mental illness to find these media so "dangerous". Oooh maybe you find them dangerous because you feel like you and others are getting gaslighted into doing it!!? Then that means you actually have a hidden desire to do ot wtf!?!?!???? omggg crazy!!!! but that would explain the waryness oooh... xD
Okay kidding aside and talking calmly, tbf when you grow up more(or if you're an adult,.. have your brain mature and stop being immature, you Touch grass, socialize with non weebs, actually talk to people who are so different from you or even have different beliefs than you, especially those folks who doesn't even go to social media lol), you will realize just how stupid this mindset that "people like this because irl they want it too" is. People watch or consume different types of media like tv series, games, or books just for the sole reason that it caught their interest or because "it's not something you see everyday" and yes, it is not something you see every day, yall just see it everyday coz yall too deep into the well, You can't tell off each and every one of them. They'd think u crazy because "why would this person think I want this irl?? oh I stay away from this person fr because they also read (the thing they hate) which means they also do it too"
Perks of being free from the anti cult: I got to realize this before I got a decent office work (aside from my sex work) because my boss enjoyed bridgerton and I absolutely hated the concept of "cheating" which is what I associated the season 2 because of the situation. Ngl it is correct that some of them actually real mentally ill folks use these media to satisfy themselves and then do it irl but most people(aka NORMAL PEOPLE) read for the drama or the estrangement of a certain story.
