100+ chapters of him tormenting her and her trying to leave him and escape. Many instances where he blackmails her and coerced her into sex. Losing his mind and PLANNING to kill her when he finds her again after she ran away. And it's like in one chapter she just suddenly had a change of heart and decided she forgives him and loves him. Really? I'm telling you, in the novel towards the end, the story gets really creepy. Matthias goes crazy and is worse than ever. And then in like one chapter she suddenly has feelings for him. It felt so rushed to me. I know that the ending pair was always gonna be her and Matthias but damn. After all that Matthias does youre just in disbelief that she's able to forgive him.
Sorry meant to dislike. There's no way it's rushed because it's one of the most well-written romance novels (highly praised too).
Good thing that opinions are subjective and I get to have my own! ^_^
No matter how beautifully written it is, trash is still trash.
You can't turn a trashy story into a fairytale by using a few fancy words.
The novel isn't trash
Sounds like she suffered from Stockholm syndrome. I don’t know if her feelings towards him would be considered true love. Her feelings were probably a psychological response to the abuse that entailed developing attachment and connection to her abuser. It makes me wonder why he impregnated her in the end. I guess this was his final claim and possession of her. This is an interesting story but by no means a normal romance.
Yes it is, this is a story of an abuser getting his victim.
