Im interested in the younger brother's angle because its clear that he's transmigrator/reincarnator similar to the MC (And that they may have known longer than the MC). Especially because everyone thus far in the MC's memories have had a lookalike in the novel, like its obvious that the Sunbae in the MC's memories is the ML, and even his bestfriend in the novel looks and acts like his bestfriend in his memories (short hair, energetic personality, etc).
So, theres a chance that the younger brother could actually be an reincarnation of his sister? It makes sense especially because she was the one who introduced him to the bl novel, and the fact that the younger brother knew the title and knew the role the MC played in it which contributed to his fear and hatred towards the ML who led his brother to suicide in the original. And maybe thats the brother/sister is heavily protective over the MC's character because they're projecting the memories of their actual brother onto him, unknowing that that's their actual brother.
If this theory is true it'd just mean that the MC actually cussed out the person he's longing for the most, so uh. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Spoiler alert
So yes mc's brother now is his sister, the hyung is also the same hyung from his real life. Actually mc is in a novel that was made by both his brother n one of mc's friend that still doesn't made his appearance yet. They use mc's name as a joke n actually both of them realised they're in a novel. But the worst thing is they make fun of mc behind his while back laughing at him for having a mental breakdown when mc 1st realised he's in a novel. Yes, the brother and that friend knows EVERYTHING but stay quiet bcs it's funny. In a later chapter mc will discover all of this n will have a huge fight with his brother to the point that he got a really bad depression more than he is now. It's so worse mc will stop functioning to the point he needs someone to even feed him. The hyung will always stayed by his side at that point bcs he got his memories back. So FUCK THAT BROTHER N FRIEND

Currently in chap 75, and I really liked the class president just bc her and the MC spent a good time together, albeit off-screen. And she had a very bittersweet existence, in which she clearly had feelings for the MC, and wanted to some extent monopolise him for herself but also wanted him to pursue his passions. The scene where she shoos all the girls away from giving him their handkerchiefs because the MC was uncomfortable, while simultaneously having a handkerchief in her hands that she failed to give him out of embarrassment was just... painful.
Because she is consciously aware that he's just out of her league, so she doesn't even want to try. There not much about her in the story for her to be FL, but I really don't want that handkerchief scene to be the last of her.
Edit: nvm, she appeared again, am very happy the author didn't forget her.

I think this story has lots of potential and maybe it differs from the novel (haven't read), but it just feels like all the character introductions are rushed and half-assed. They're building up Gilbert to be this big bad whom the MC absolutely despises but instead of showing all the shitty things he's done, they just tell us, and it makes the MC's treatment of him feel less justified.
Also, the story starts in the middle which is such an odd choice because it means they have to keep doing exposition to explain what tf is going on. The MC's family was in debt and she had to work her ass off to be pay it back and become a socialite, is there going to be an arc about that? No? Just a couple panels? Okay. The MC has the villainess humping her leg like a chihuahua, gonna show us how this happened? No? Okay.
This story is just really off to a bad start in terms of quality—but maybe it settles a bit more in the middle? Also, if Gilbert is such a bad person and the ML is his father, wouldn't that be reflective of the ML given that he raised him??? Idk, it seems like the villainess' future actions against the MC (tormenting her, faking friendship, and sleeping with her husband) was brushed off on the basis of girl power rather than Gilbert's manipulation, because you could argue that Gilbert is as much a victim of his father as the villainess is to him? Not saying thats justified, don't mean to Gilbert glaze as he is genuinely unpleasant. But the story does a poor job of differentiating why the villainess gets preferential treatment, because it seems her og self geniuinely liked tormenting the MC similarly to Gilbert.
Or are there other circumstances regarding their relationship? Like Gilbert getting adopted later in life like when he was already an adult? Regardless, it doesn't seem like him and the ML have an amicable relationship. Either way the pacing sucks and the characters feel shallow, sorry thats my yap ( ̄∇ ̄")

I love LOVE how this subverts the typical "OP MC" trope, because, while yes. He is insanely OP, the story doesn't revolve around his strength, but rather his weaknesses. This isn't one of those generic Hunter manhwas, where the MC powers up infinitely and goes on to surpass the rest of the human race. Infact, it's the opposite, its about a guy finally learning how to embrace his humanity, after years of detaching himself from it.

I love how Sayoung is lowkey petty, like he's fucking over the MC in subtle ways, like the AD bro??? THE AD???
Also, really like how the magic crystal is a big deal bc it shows how 1. Naive the MC is and how little he knows about the present, 2. Shows the importance of magic crystals, 3. Shows powerful Sayoung is and his influence¡ 4. Good way to get the other characters to interact with the MC bc otherwise they'd have no incentive.
Lastly, it shows how much the MC dun fucked up by posting that shit on ebay

I'm not sure I like the direction the story is going, having his "friends" be an extension of Nanba's security is just... wow. It adds a layer of darkness that looms over the entire series, and theres just something sick about them tugging Jyugo in a certain direction.
Especially, since the recent arcs was about Jyugo becoming more independent and making more choices for himself. His friends were instrumental in that, only in reality for them to encouraging him to make decisions that benefits Hiro and by extension them as well. I know that they're doing this to help him, and that they do care for him.
But they're restricting his freedom of choice, which is just fucked when you consider. That very early on in the series, they all had a talk about never wanting to leave the prison with Jyugo calling it his home because he was "free"—free with them. Only for that freedom and friendship to be another prison.
It also means that this whole cat and mouse thing with Hajime was an act, because Hajime is Hiro's successor and the gang never had the intentions of helping Jyugo escape. It was all an act to keep Jyugo stimulated and entertained.
I was already spoiled into knowing Jyugo joins the man with the scar, and now I know why.

I agree with you that it’s pretty messed up but we don’t know the circumstances surrounding his friends working to observe him. It’s possible they weren’t given much of a choice in the matter. They are still inmates and that Hiiro guy seems like he would do anything to accomplish his goal, much like the one he was cloned from. Still Jugo’s situation is really sad and I wonder how he will react.

I oddly liked it, I'll admit I read it because of all the edits recommended to me, it was everything and nothing I expected. I expected some deep meaning, just as everyone else expected something deeper from his songs, but there wasn't any other meaning. It was just a love song, just like how this manga was just about boy loving a girl. Nothing more and nothing less.
Its not as simple as saying "you can't save anyone if you're overworked!" Or tired, and whatnot as literally a second he's not in action equates to the deaths of hundreds of people, he otherwise could've saved (not to mention in his experience, complancency or even a minute of time to spend with his family literally resulted in a genocide). He literally cannot afford to rest, despite how stupid as it seems to us. So, what he's hearing from the MC is not to simply just "rest and leave it to the others" but rather "let them all die".
And even though there's a good amount of hunters who are competent or at least the same rank like Esther, no one can measure up to his work ethic and his contributions to the lives saved (not to mention from his viewpoint if he can do the job of 50 hunters, why risk the lives of 50 other people). People aren't statistics, and he knows this. He's definitely been conditioned by the pressures that come with being the so-called "number 1".
Hopefully, he'll stop blaming himself and start to trust others once he sees how "strong" the MC is, then the burden of being the strongest will he taken off his shoulders.
