every time i listen to “fourth of july” (sufjan stevens) or “united in grief” (kendrick lamar), i think of my late beloved grandma, who was like a mother to me (more than my own mom). and also czech songs “lékořice” & “půlnoční” by vaclav neckar, because those were her favorites. ️
