this was so dumb but in a good (??) way like it was so ridiculous, i can’t even hate it. but the rape hello?? between tanza and meryl and the noncon between ash and roose - the author stated they refined the story to include a lot of mainstream arcs and tropes, and this is just another example of how people get off on rape in bl, its genuinely so disgusting. this story could’ve been perfectly fine with consent - roose could be a ‘tsundere’ and ash could be that obsessed puppy top that everyone loves and after some pining, they could’ve had CONSENSUAL sex and it would’ve been exactly the same as the story. and meryl and tanza could’ve been enemies to lovers and eventually the tension is too much and they both jump each others bones and consensual sex, everyone is happy, no rapey bullshit
