Looking back at the first two chapters, I've been thinking that the mom should get some blame too. It's disgustingly selfish how a woman with children would expose her children to a violent predator. Ao should never feel remorse for killing his step father. His mom is just as terrible. If anything Anna's suicide and Akane's disappearance is her fault the most.
