It's just my opinion, but I truly can't take Buckingham anymore. Okay, I hate him. He's hot, but that's all. At first, when he appeard, I was pretty interested in him, but after he raped Richard (it was an obvious rape dammit) I just UGGHG lost it. Bc it broke Richard. He was broke for a long time but there still was hope for him/her. He/She kinda like, stayed loyal to the fact that he/she once had his/her first love, it kept him/her from losing mind I think.
But once the accident with Buckingham happened, Richard gave everytihng up.
When Richard was still thinking about Henry, there was this light of hope for her/him? When he/she still haven't got raped and his/hers mind was at "peace" or at least she/he could think straight. But now... ugh... it's just one big mess. And the crown. While reading these chapters I hoped that Richard won't get a crown, bc LOOK AT ALL THOSE WHO GOT TO BE A KING, fuck.

It’s not rape. It was consensual. Richard does not think highly of himself, and therefore gave into lust. He allowed himself to be “defiled” but it’s all under trust. They trust one another.
There relationship isn’t normal, but it’s definitely not rape. People are so quick to yell rape for every lil’ thing. Richard WANTED to be touched. He wanted to feel something different for a change. He wanted it. It’s all mutual, so yeah, no rape
Yes, maybe you're right, it's just... I don't see it as something good for Richard. And Buckingham is not someone Richard loves. There is only lust and trust, no love, which actually Richard needs the most.
Maybe word "rape" was too harsh to use in this situation, but still. This situation is hard to accept, at least for me.
