I'm currently on ep 27 and I don't understand shit, I've never played videogames and English is not my first although I have a pretty good level, still I'm unable to grasp the main concepts....the f you mean with the ranks? is a grand duke more powerful than a king? Not in real life for sure, so I don't get how it works in the game. The power struggle is totally lost to me, please help
I suggest you read the novel, it is more detailed and smooth. Even the first chapter in manhwa, the novel shows more about before they end up getting 'arrested' tgt and how they bond through the situation (sehyun, jaeyoung and the rest). Tbh, i dont understand the story if not for the novel which i read first hahah

Ok from what I understand.
The game is has three focuses. The ranking, the kingdom and the tower.
The higher you get in the tower determines your ranking mostly. Your ranking can also go up with the strength of your kingdom and your alliances. I guess the tower (they don’t tough up on it that much yet) is like levels you have to beat to go to the next one. It’s one of the main points I guess that determines strength. The vassals strength also probably relies on the level of tower they are at because they fight in the tower as well as the king and the grand duke.
Ok onto the kingdom. So I guess in this game the king is required to go to enter the tower. Kings can loose their kingdom and became like wanderers. The king is brought by god I guess and the aptitude test determines the race the king is. The grand duke in some senses is stronger than the king because he has ultimate power over the kingdom. He can give/take the kings role freely but the kingdom cannot get stronger or make any major decisions/ alliances without a king in power. The king has to gain the grand dukes fealty or trust before he can start becoming a king and gaining the trust of the vassals and climbing the tower.
The rankings. So the rankings are based on the tower as stated before but it also is like showing your the best player at the game. And this either incites others to attack or holds them off from attacking. They also gain allies through ranking I guess. Like the stronger you are either people are wary or want to be your friend.
