Why are you ok with red flags(specifically r*pe) in fictional content?

I have the same opinion as you, I think. I really don’t like rape in stories where the two main characters are supposed to fall in love with each other. I see rape as one of the most heinous and disgusting crimes one could commit, and to see the victim fall in love with their abuser makes me sick. It also doesn’t help that the rape and/or abuse......
